Cultura Material, Cultura Científica: Património Industrial para o Futuro (Material Culture, Scientific Culture: Industrial Heritage for the Future) is a scientific publication that collects several Industrial History papers on a gunpowder factory in Vale de Milhaços, Portugal.

This book is the result of an interdisciplinary research project at Lisbon NOVA University, aiming to preserve industrial heritage, publishing the work of archeology, history and museology researchers.

The body of work expands beyond the book, living as multimedia content. This augmented content is referenced in the book through QR codes, making the book function as a hub that centralises access to the whole public communication of the research project.

An object centered in revealing the research efforts of Nova School of Science & Technology. This specific project consists of an investigation into the industrial archeological site Fábrica da Pólvora de vale de Milhaços, revealing its interdisciplinar approach that has different components such as History, Museology, Conservation and material studies.
